What this service is

Take-Home Compass is an independent comparison site and information service. We publish take-home pay figures computed on the statutory rates each government publishes, quoted verbatim with the date they were read, and on request we reply to questions with the same arithmetic. We are not tax advisers, do not recommend a course of action, and are not affiliated with any government body.

How we are paid

Where a page links to a software vendor, the vendor may pay us a referral commission when a visitor becomes a customer. Payment never changes a figure on this site: every figure is computed from published statutory rates and the method is published.

Using the take-home index

The Take-Home Compass Take-Home Index is free to reuse with citation. Quote figures with the jurisdiction, the tax year and the date shown, and a link back to the page you took them from. The figures are published statutory rates applied to a stated salary under the assumptions each page lists; they are not a payslip and not advice.

No warranty

Rates are quoted from official pages on the date shown and governments change them; a payslip also applies a tax code, pay periods and adjustments this site does not know about. Check the linked source and your own payslip before acting on a figure. The service is provided as is, without warranty; nothing here is tax, legal or financial advice.
